A production company that specializes in the production of music concerts that is totally immersive for the eyes and ears of the audience.
Although traditional music performances are meant to appeal mainly to our auditory sense, Total Music is new because it offers total entertainment by immersing the audience in entertaining sounds and rhythm, beautiful and meaningful visual imagery and culturally diverse creative expression.
This concept of Total Music is made possible by the willingness to combine artistic resources from many cultures with advancing digital technologies. This provides opportunitIes to push boundaries in entertainment content by using new visually appealing elements and attractive soundscapes. Total Music goes way beyond what is usually referred to as “World Music” or “Fusion Music”. By taking advantage of ever-evolving advances in electronic music, Total Music is totally diverse, incredibly visual, fully immersive and uniquely entertaining.
This multi-cultural mosaic of visual art and sounds combined with limitless possibilities offered by digital sciences allow Total Music to impact audiences in an unprecedented manner. It shall become the Total Music entertainment experience because it puts emotion and meaning back into music.
The Dennis Law Center of Arts & Technology will launch the brand of Total Music by using the best resources of multi-cultural arts and digital technologies to develop musical experiences that best entertain all audiences. All concerts and theatrical productions will aim to provide soundscapes that are new and refreshing. Digitally enhanced music has been able to create sounds never before possible. While not ignoring the overwhelming importance of classical, traditional or acoustic musical instruments, it is necessary to explore what new immersions of sound the digital world can provide.
The Dennis Law Center of Arts & Technology has used this concept to produce four productions to date:
1) Ode to Nature
2) War & Peace
3) Kungfu Organ
4) Ms Butterfly
For the fall of 2023, the Center will produce a 21st century adaptation of Mozart’s Requiem Mass. Using an electronic music ensemble to replace the entire orchestra, the Requiem will be adapted into a dance musical and performed at the altar of a 19th century church, depicting a battle between Heavenly deities and the devils of Hell and ending with salvation and redemption.
